MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
for Survivors

This will be a bi-monthly meeting implementing a portion of our H.E.A.R.T.S program (Healing, Education and Restoration Treatment for Survivors) to begin the vision and purpose of DHRC. We have had much interest and families of young women coming out of trafficking reaching out to us for help.

If you know of survivors who need this kind of program, please contact our mentor program director, Lisa Mitts , using this link. There will be an application process for each participant to be accepted into the program. Space will be limited to 8 people for the initial launch.

The H.E.A.R.T.S.™ System
The H.E.A.R.T.S.™ program incorporates:
  • counseling
  • group therapy
  • GED education with the goal of getting a job
  • developing basic healthy life skills
  • connecting professional resources for drug addiction, detox, and medical attention
  • creative therapies such as art, jewelry-making, music, gardening, cooking and other life skills
  • connecting with corporations who would work with us to hire our graduates of the program.

Our vision is to achieve targeted results in order to measure healing and restoration into a normal life - these will be assessed in 60 days, 3, 6 and 9 months and if needed 12 months, the goal being that by 9-12 months each participant is prepared and healed enough to live a successful healthy life independently without the fear of going back into 'the life'.

In addition, H.E.A.R.T.S™ will be available for other homes in the U.S. and abroad seeking a proven, reliable and measurable program for the healing and restoration of sex-trafficked victims ages 18 and over.
