Meet Our Board

Destiny House Restoration Center will be a safe harbor where young women, who have been enslaved by the horrific chains of sex-trafficking, can be restored to their God-given identity, destiny and purpose. We do this by providing hope, empowerment and healing not only through counseling, but through a vetted, measurable, structured program incorporating education, creativity, and other hands on methods of restoring 'normalcy' of daily life.

David Mitts, Board President

David A. Mitts, graduated from Harvard University with a B.A. in Psychology, and received a Masters of Acupuncture (M.Ac.) from the Maryland University of Integrative Medicine. He is a licensed acupuncturist (LicAc.) and a WA State East Asian Medical Practitioner (EAMP). David is the owner of One New Man Healing Center, a holistic health clinic combining acupuncture, nutrition and counseling.

David is also an ordained minister through New Life Christian Network. In 2003, he founded One New Man Ministry and he is certified in Theophostic Counseling. In addition to his medical and counseling training, David and his wife Lisa also built a successful business network from 1988-2012 and shared with thousands of people around the nation the principles of success.

In June 2012, David and Lisa began the work to establish Destiny House Restoration Center, a 501C-3 non-profit organization.

Lisa Mitts, Executive Director

Director of Administration and Fundraising, Lisa Mitts received her B.S. in Journalism and Communications with a minor in Music Performance from the University of Florida. Together with her husband, David, they founded One New Man Healing Center both in Seattle, WA as well as in Tiberius, Israel for the time they lived there (7/2006 - 12/2010). Lisa also launched her music career with her first professional recording in 2009 and established Lisa Mitts Music.

Much of her performances in the last few years have been for the purpose of bringing awareness and change to the horrific reality of sex-trafficking, especially the rising numbers here in the United States. She is a recognized artist with IJM (International Justice Mission) and has devoted half of her proceeds from the sale of her newest album, Songbird to Destiny House Restoration Center.

Dr. Stacey Cacchet

Executive Director of Treatment, Dr. Stacy Cecchet received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Seattle Pacific University. She specializes in trauma and forensic psychology. Dr. Cecchet conducts empirical research on domestic and international sex trafficking, consults with law enforcement, provides clinical services to survivors, and runs national workshops for professionals on correctly identifying victims of the sex trade as well as how to make culturally competent treatment referrals for survivors. Dr. Cecchet has also made a number of international humanitarian trips to provide emergency psychological services after natural disasters.

Dr. Cecchet completed her pediatric post-doctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the Kennedy Krieger Institute. Currently, Dr. Cecchet is Adjunct Faculty in the Criminal Justice Department at Seattle University and teaches Forensic Psychology and the department’s new course, Sex Trafficking: Domestic and International Perspectives. Charles Harris, Board Member

Mr. Harris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Mississippi State University. He currently works as a manager of an Engineering Performance Learning and Development team for an aerospace company in the Pacific Northwest.

Charles has a passion for "helping people win" and live their lives on purpose. He has helped coach many thoughout his life to identify and utilize their unique strengths and talents. Throughout his life, Charles has actively participated in humanitarian causes to set people free from slavery to systems such as human sex trafficking. Today, Charles is a Social Entrepreneur who leverages the power of the marketplace to address the world's biggest problems.

Donna Zorn, Board Member

Board Member, Donna Zorn, MS, MFT, is a Marriage and Family Therapist in solo private practice in Bellevue, WA. since 1994. Donna is also involved with Restoring Hearts, which is a ministry working with wives of sex addicts. This group of women are hurting at such a deep level. She has been a breakout session speaker on topics of the heart and marriage issues. Donna is also an International speaker for Covenant Keepers Inc. since 1989. This is a marriage restoration ministry. Having spoken at retreats and the Canadian Yellow Ribbon Day, she well versed in broken families and then the restoration process. Donna has been on Board of Destiny House Restoration Center since its inception, and is deeply committed to assisting in the process of helping our clients rebuild their lives once they have escaped the bondage of human sex trafficking.

Chris Baker, Board Member

Board Member/Web Developer, Christine Baker is a dedicated word-smith, copy editor, and blogger. She has enjoyed an eclectic career as a Marketing Manager for several of Seattle's top engineering firms; an Executive Director for two non-profit organizations in the social services sector; and as a consultant for website development, corporate branding, strategic marketing management; and social media campaign development. She is also a single mother of three young men ... a survivor of domestic abuse ... once a homeless, battered woman now turned non-profit Executive Director, Chris has a very powerful and touching testimony of the power of forgiveness and the role of love in ministering to the broken-hearted.

Jill Weber, Board Member

Jill has held a variety of leadership roles focused on people, operations, and account management specializing in building strong relationships. She has been working within the technology and tourism industry for 20+ years. Currently Jill leads Operational Performance for Expedia's Global Service Delivery team where she is responsible to manage the annual operations budget of ~$20MM. She collaborates across several regions and organizations to identify root cause(s) related to customer issues, partners with analytics to tell the story through the data to help inform business decisions around policy and process with a goal to improve the customer’s experience.

In 2013, Jill completed 50 hours of training in Stephen’s Ministry to become a care receiver; equipped to care for hurting people journeying through grief. Jill truly believes her purpose is to serve others as God calls and that it is her responsibility to respond to His call.

Tony Huynh, Board Member

Tony has a breadth in hands-on and leadership roles across CPG, retail, tech and entertainment industries at P&G, Luxottica, Microsoft, DTV, and Expedia. He specializes in consulting, analytics and strategy to drive marketing and operational decisions that impact the customer experience. Currently Tony leads Operational Analytics for Expedia's Global Customer where he leverages analytics to drive strategic discussions around customer service interactions with technology and agents. Several of these initiatives have identified significant reduction in customer effort opportunity to millions of interactions saving $10M's in operational cost/exposure.

His philosophy in both professional and personal life is to strive toward integrity. As such, he focuses most of his time to bring data into the conversation whether it be financial analysis, predictive modeling , or looking "inward" for answers to difficult issues before jumping to external influences. He strongly feels that data enables meaningful impact to our lives and for those within the various communities that we participate.

Tony has expanded his experience into the non-profit as of 2016 serving a 1 year tenure on the board of Vibrant Pallete Arts. Tony's contribution as a working board member was fiscal, strategic and operational. He brought in nearly 10% of total donations in 2016, helped build partnerships with local organizations focused on similar local causes and brought in several students to the workshop which officially launch in 2017.

Tony's draw to Destiny House is that the organization goals align closely with his views on recovery / spirtual growth for all individuals, especially those that have been abused sexually , verbally or physically.
